Meeting Rachel was so amazingly awesome. For us Aussies, we don't get too many authors come down because it costs so much and the profits aren't as good because of the much smaller fan base, so Rachel touring Australia is awesome and I hope she encourages other authors (hint hint: Richelle Mead!) to come here!

So when we finally got to the (very fancy) hotel, I had no idea where to go, but I had Felicity's number and we quickly found each other. She led me up to where Rachel and the other bloggers (Saskia and Roslyn from the Tea Mouse, and Kylie from The Talking Teacup) were breakfasting and I sat down and we all started talking. I got a signed copy of Bite Club (Morganville Vampires #10), but I can't read it till I finish reading the books before it!
Rachel had to leave forty minutes later, but we got photos, and she said she'd be by Dymocks on george St later so I could interview her, which was very nice of her. After she and Felicity left, the other bloggers and I stayed for another hour to talk and eat (well, I ate because they'd already eaten). Kylie, Roslyn and Saskia are all super cool and nice and didn't care that I was a couple of years younger than them, which is so good. We talked a lot about books, movies and things.
So after walking around the city for a bit and visiting bookstores, we went to Dymocks and I interviewed Rachel. We sat in the cafe on the top floor and talked a bit first and then did the interviewing. As Rachel and Felicity ordered Cokes, the girls and I realised that we'd forgotten to pay for the coffees we'd had an hour earlier-- because we were sitting in the aisle of the Strand Arcade, and because cafe was ten or so metres down from us, we totally forgot to stop in and pay. (Don't worry, we went back after we finished with Rachel, so it's okay!)I would have made the interview longer, but I didn't have enough memory on my SD card! :( But I might email her some more questions and hope she answers them.
I have to give a humungous thank you to my amazingly generous and nice parents, who not only let me skip school for this (shh!) but also drove me there. Mum, thanks for letting me go, and Dad, thanks for driving me and giving me heart attack with your crazy driving skills. Without these people, I wouldn't have been able to go! :) :)
